The Valkyrie Extraction System - (patent pending)

Introducing a innovative system designed to revolutionise casualty extraction in diverse scenarios, from battlefield evacuations to swiftly and safely moving casualties out of mass incident areas or navigating challenging terrains like the jungle and built up areas.

At the core of this innovative extraction system is the Valkyrie stretcher, a lightweight and portable solution weighing approximately 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs) and measuring around 60 cm when stowed. The stretcher serves as the primary component, complemented by versatile attachments such as O2 bottle attachment, vent attachments, kit attachments, and winch capability for enhanced functionality.

Currently in the final stages of research and development, our system has undergone successful trials with the UK Rangers, showcasing its effectiveness and reliability. The stretcher's pole, crafted from carbon fiber, boasts a recommended dynamic weight limit of 150 kg, ensuring robust support during deployment.

Key features of the Valkyrie stretcher include:

  • Efficient Two-Person Carry: Tailored for extended and distant transport, considering human factors. Lightweight (1.5 kg), robust, and space-saving.
  • Advanced Patient Monitoring: Detects declines in the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) for timely intervention.
  • Weapon System Operation: Enables the safe handling of weapon systems for added protection.
  • Versatile Attachment Capability: Easily accommodates devices such as vents, O2 bottles, and SPO2 monitors.
  • Combatting Hypothermia/Heat Injuries: Strategically addresses risks, including the "diamond of death."
  • Inline Stabilisation: Provides crucial neck and back protection with inline stabilisation.
  • Slim Profile: Navigates built-up areas and jungle environments effortlessly.
  • Quick Assembly: Simple and swift assembly ensures immediate deployment in under 60 seconds.

Our comprehensive system is poised to redefine medical training practices, ensuring optimal casualty care in a variety of challenging scenarios.
